First US Food Retail Promotion in Lithuania

During September 1-30, 2016 FAS/Warsaw teamed up with a leading Lithuanian retailer Assorti to conduct a first retail U.S. food promotion in Lithuania.  Promotion presented over 50 U.S. food and beverage products including 20 new to the market items.  Promoted products included sweets, beef, barbeque sauces, carbonated drinks, dried fruit and nuts, wines and bourbon.  Assorti Company reported a 20 percentage increase in sales of sweets and barbeque sauces during the promotion.  While sales of beef, carbonated drinks, wine and bourbon increased over 15 percent.  All 20 new to market items introduced during the promotion are scheduled to become part of regular offer of the Vilnius stores.  Projected 12-month sales (at two retail stores and through internet store) are estimated at over U.S. $60,000.
