Ken Isley, Administrator of USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service gave a keynote speech on “U.S. Agriculture Exports and Trade” at U.S. Soy Regional Trade Exchange for the European Union, Middle East and North Africa.  The event celebrated a 50-year trade relationship in the region and attracted more than 300 participants from roughly 40 countries.  The conference was attended by industry representatives and provided an international forum to help buyers and sellers build better networks. The conference covered several topics that highlight the developments and challenges central to international and local soybean markets and the agricultural landscape.  Participants learned about the latest developments in the soy markets and market trends, the trade situation between the U.S. and China, the latest figures on exports and destinations, the quality of U.S. soybeans and U.S. soy sustainability.  USSEC customers from throughout the region also had the opportunity to meet other professional buyers, traders and U.S. suppliers.
